Kelly Lucas, MSN, FNP-C
Kelly Lucas, MSN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Her passion for healthcare began early, shaped by her own extensive medical history as a child, which instilled in her a deep desire to help others navigate their health journeys.
Originally from Minnesota, Kelly moved to North Carolina in 2008 and began her nursing career in 2017 after graduating from Carolinas College of Health Sciences. She started as a bedside nurse on a surgical step-down unit before transitioning to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she spent the majority of her bedside career. While she deeply valued caring for the most vulnerable patients and their families, Kelly felt called by God to expand her scope of practice and return to serving the adult population.
Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2019 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2023. She is a strong advocate for her patients, emphasizing shared decision-making, patient education, and respect for each individual’s values, goals, and wishes. Kelly believes education is key to empowering patients to be successful and compliant in managing their health. Her clinical background across diverse patient populations uniquely equips her to deliver holistic, empathetic, and evidence-based care.
Outside of her professional life, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young children, and two beloved dogs. She loves to travel, explore new restaurants, and share meaningful moments with friends and family.
